Takahashi offers a high-quality microscope for collimating its Cassegrain optical tubes and derivatives (Dall-Kirkham Mewlon and CCA). This accessory can also be used to collimate instruments from other brands, such as Cassegrain and Ritchey-Chrétien GSO, ASA or Planewave optical tube assemblies, etc. Caution ! The telescope's secondary mirror must be marked.
The mechanical input interface of the collimating microscope is a M36.4x1 thread, used mainly on Takahashi instruments. To adapt the Takahashi collimating scope to all other instruments, we offer this adapter with a 2"(50.8 mm) barrel, machined with great precision, so that you won't have any misalignment with your telescope's eyepiece holder and focusing system. It converts the M36.4x1 male thread into a 2" male cast; simply screw the microscope onto it.
Designed by our team and manufactured in France by our partner mechanical workshop in Colmar, a specialist in high-precision machining in small series, this ring is made of aluminum and anodized in matte black.
